Cut Length Instruction and Monitoring
This module displays the product shearing information at the shear pulpit. It is based on the rolling schedule including the product size, nominal length, cut length and tolerance, bar length on the cooling bed and number of bars per billet.
It can also display the actual cut length through the laser length measuring device to help the operator to control the cut length.
It is part of the rolling material tracking as well. The material passes through the shear is tracked against the rolling schedule (cast No).
